Rudy De Anda on Being Outsiders of Soul

We caught up with Soul Musician Rudy De Anda as he navigates traffic to his homecoming show in Los Angeles. Rudy is a musicians I have heard in the L.A. music scene for a few years, so it was great to finally interview him on his musical journey. He recently released a cover of “Take Me For A Little While” with his own twist, including Spanglish and Chicago (where he currently lives) inspired Guaguanco. We spoke with Rudy about his musical journey in Los Angeles, the influence of Ikey Owens and Long Beach, Cumbia and the Renaissance of the moment, and how he hopes music leads him to Camp Nou in Spain.
