This week we have Eddie Aguirre of Southeast LA’s The Social Primate Podcast! The man behind the animations and community interviews.

The Social Primate Podcast is an introspective audio experience exploring community, culture and society, as told by an animated primate. As of recent, Eddie has put large efforts in covering and highlighting community response to the recent raids. For full transparency, our episode together was recorder in late April of 2025.

Eddie and Tony Morales (host) go around South East LA to learn more about the places that shaped Eddie’s upbringing. The 3 locations recorded on site include: Chris’s Burgers in Cudahy, Jose’s Barbershop in Cudahy, and Salt Lake Park in Huntington Park. The hosts talk more about punk music, fatherhood, creation of podcast, and why it’s important to move with intentionality.
